 BLACK OLIVES OF CHALKIDIKI – “ALMADES”

 

The variety "Chondroelia Chalkidiki" is world famous for its thick, juicy fruit.  This is why it is considered to be a top table olive.

The name “Almades" is due to its natural processing purely with salt and without additional chemical preservatives.  The Almades are harvested after maturing on the trees having acquired their characteristic dark color.

Following the natural treatment with the addition only of salt, the fruit acquires a thin peel and the fruity taste that makes them unique.
